Tuesday Blog Game - Turn 6

Buzz Killington moved to the corner of the hallway and peered around. Laying on the floor amongst the remains of the skeletons was another spear. The paladin retrieved the weapon. The corridor continued to the west lit buy more of the green glowing gems. A stout wooden beam lay across the center of the door, barring it from opening from within. Past the door, the passage branched to the north and continued straight.

Osric and Thayross cast Detect Magic and examined the nearest glowing gem. Both picked up equally strong auras of evocation and necromancy from the stone. Attempts to identify the magic only revealed that the light was produced by an application of Continual Flame. The Necromancy element proved elusive.

Peering down the darkened hallway, Brother Gronk was able to see that the passage continued a way to the south before turning to the east. The monk was also able to make out a hole in the wall where presumably a green gem used to be housed.

Magni and Remy recovered their thrown rocks and searched for more usable stones. Finding none, Remy began trying to break some of the larger stones into smaller ones. This activity has yet to yield results.

What do you do now?

  1. Busby will pickup and stow the extra spear, for anyone who wants it. then remove the door bar. he will then try to remove a green glowing gem to use as a light source, possibly using the hook to dig it out.

then will move up and look around the corner.

    1. The bar is heavy and stout. It could be used as a weapon. Counts as a great club.

Are you attempting to remove the gem located between H2 and I2?

By corner, do you mean the intersection with the passage to the north or do you mean the corner in darkness to the south?

    2. You can pry the gem out of the wall using either the hook or one of the spears.

  3. Remy moves up to where Busby is and says "let me scout ahead."

As Gronk passes them by he shrugs his shoulders and follows Gronk. Trying to keep watch for enemies and traps.

  4. Thayross casts Cure Light Wounds on Ursu. Rolls 5. He then begins looking around the room to see if he can find a container suitable for transporting water and/or a way to add something to the crate of rations to make it function as a backpack.

    1. There does not appear to be anything with which to carry water. There are no ropes or belts to fasten the crate to act like a backpack. Looks like someone will just need to lug it.

  5. you said we had nothing originally, do we have any clothing?

    1. Yes, you each are wearing tattered clothing. This would be a shirt and pants or shirt and skirt or a simple dress whichever fits your character. You do not have any jewelry, belts, hats or shoes.

    3. It is a 40 gallon barrel. So full and counting the barrel it will weight about 340 LBS.

  7. I pick up the rations and say. "I've got the food. One of you sword swingers grab as much of this water as you can carry."

Then I dip my hands in and drink as much as I can hold.
