For future reference -
Based upon the description for Atlantean Power Words and other talents in the chain only work on "sentient creatures". I take that to mean races that can be player characters. I do not believe that it will work on robots (because they are not creatures), animals (not sentient) and mindless undead (not living/sentient). Might work against undead with an intelligence. I also think it may not work on mind controlled or otherwise controlled characters. At the very least it might require an opposed roll against the controller.
