I have heard from David, Steve, Kelly and Corey. All are planning to attend. Dave and Bruce are also positives. Randy is a definite negative. Kara does not read her e-mail.
OK. The plan will be the following:
I will run PFS tomorrow. We will play City of Strangers-Pt2: The Twofold Demise. This is the second part of the adventure Bruce ran last week.
The week after that I will plan to start the HEX playtest for the Shanghai scenario. Players will need playtest characters with 30 experience. Surface world characters only. You can play a previous playtest character with experience added or you can try something new.
Archetypes suggested for this adventure are: Adventurer, Lawman, Moneyman, Occultist, Reporter and Soldier.
Motivations that would be a good fit are: Duty, Love and Truth
I expect this to take about 3 sessions to complete.
After that I am prepared to give All For One a try. I have read the first published adventure (twice now) and I and now comfortable with the material. Between making characters, learning the differences from HEX and running the adventure, it will likely take us 4 sessions. I know that Randy really wants to play this game so I may wait a few weeks for Fest to end before I start it.
I after that I will be ready to resume my HEX campaign for a bit. I also have 2 published HEX surface world adventures and 3 of a 4-part All for One campaign I can run. The 4th adventure is due out in the near future(part 3 just came out last week). We may also get some official playtest opportunities (both for Exile and Triple Ace Games) and I am planning to write a few adventures for Gen Con 2012 and for possible publication which will also need to be playtested.
As always, we can fill the cracks with PFS or I can hand the reigns to Dave or Bruce to continue their games. I have years of material but I like to play too.
Next Tuesday we will finish the City of Strangers-Pt2: The Twofold Demise. I plan to fill the rest of the time playtesting the modified HEX Martial Arts rules. . Can everyone say "Clobber the Dino" and "Nazi Bashing"? I expect to need you to provide playtest feedback specifically on the working of the new martial arts.
We will likely start the Shanghai adventure the following week.
Other things of note:
It appears that part 4 of the All For One campaign will be released in September. That should give me pleanty of material to run for a while.
Leagues of Adventure is looking like an October-ish release. I scored a copy of a couple of short advetures and some quickstart rules for the game today. Looks to be mostly like HEX but in a Victorian setting.
if your workplace has scheduled you to work, could you please tell us instead of just not showing up?
ReplyDeletethankyou for your kind consideration.
This is just like 7:05, when we talk about dabblers.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, only without Redheaded StepDave.
What are we duing tonight? PFS? If Keith is starting HEX soon I'd rather not start my game up again.
I will be there
