Scions of the Sky Key

There's no special benefit for playing the same character through all 3 scenarios.

Part 1 has 2 possible boons for Exchange characters.
Parts 2 and 3 have miscellaneous boons, and boons that may come in to play in other scenarios.
Part 3 has a possible boon for Grand Lodge characters.  It also grants access to a unique magic item that afaik would not be otherwise available even if you have the gold to buy it.

Next Few Weeks

Next Tuesday we will finish #2-10 Fury of the Fiend and, time permitting, we will start #5-17 Fate of the Fiend. It too is tier 7-11. If things go well, we should finish that the week of 4/7/15.

What do you guys want to do after that? Do you have particular characters that you want to play?

Do Bruce or Dave want to run anything? Dave has a tier 7-11. Bruce has 2 tier 1-7, 2 tier 3-7, 1 tier 5-9 and 1 tier 7-11 "assigned" to them.

We also now have a new 3-part season 6 story which are all tier 1-5 scenarios. We also have a tier 3-7 and a tier 5-9 which continue stoies from earlier in season 6. Plus we have another tier 1-5, a tier 1-2 and a tier 7-11 which are all season 6. I have not read any of these and I can certainly "assign" them or plan to run them myself.

Any GMing Interest in the Group?

Does anyone else besides Bruce, Dave or myself have any interest in running PFS games?

If so, we can schedule a scenario or two to let you get your feet wet. These would likely be low tier and we might want to play them as Core.

Next Week

We will finish  #22 - Fingerprints of the Fiend at the beginning of next week. After we are done and paperwork is completed, I plan to start running #2-10 - Fury of the Fiend. This is also a tier 7-11 scenario. I expect we will finish the following week.

Alan and Randy will be going up a level in between scenarios. This will bring them to 10th and 8th level respectively. Everyone but Randy will receive out of tier gold.

I heard rumblings that some folks were considering advancing this level on slow progression. Dave, Kelly and Bruce all have that option.

I am not sure if David will be able to attend or not. Assuming that everyone plays the same characters, the new APL will be 9.4 which rounds to 9. This places you between sub-tiers. Further assuming that David is not able to play, the group will have to play sub-tier 7-8 due to party size.

Per the guide:

 

For scenarios written in Seasons 0 to 3, when the APL is in between subtiers, a party of six or seven characters must play the higher subtier. Parties with four or five characters must play the lower subtier.

If David is able to play, and you have 6 players, you will have to play sub-tier 10-11.

Next Tuesday

I plan to run #22 - Fingerprints of the Fiend on Tuesday. It is a tier 7-11 scenario.

Due to his work schedule, it looks like David will not be able to attend.

As stated before, Kelly, Alan and Randy each only has one character available. Bruce and Dave have several options but unless they both choose to play their 11th level characters, you will be playing low sub-tier. There are two more "of the Fiend" scenarios. All are tier 7-11. If you would like to play the same characters through them please plan accordingly. We can choose to play them all over the next few weeks or we can space them out a bit it you like.

Look What's Coming for Free RPG Day

Once the chronicle sheets are released, I will offer to run this one so Bruce can play. I will also offer to run We Be Goblins! (as it is replayable) and We Be Goblins Too! (if it can be run under Core).

Planning for Next Tuesday

To start the evening next Tuesday, Dave plans to finish running #6-08 Seagang Expedition. I do not know how much is left to play but I do not expect that it will take the entire session.
 
To fill the rest of the time, what you you want to do?
 
I can run something. We can either play one or two of the remaining Silverhex Chronicles quests or I can prepare something like #22 - Fingerprints of the Fiend. It is a Tier 7-11 scenario and will likely take more than a night to complete. It is the first of 3 themematically connected adventures for seasons 0, 2 and 5.
